Reagan's Story

Welcome to Reaganic, inspired by the healing journey of Miss Reagan Mafalda.
Reagan was born a healthy baby girl in August 2021. Her first four months were filled with newborn snuggles and smiles. In January 2022, the State of New York required she receive several vaccinations, one of which was Prevnar13. Shortly after receiving the shot, her leg swelled and the injection site flared. Her pediatrician ruled out an infection and referred her to a dermatologist. After several visits, Reagan's condition grew worse. Within weeks she was covered head to toe in severe rashes, including psoriasis, eczema and yeast. Reagan was prescribed several rounds of oral and topical steroids, antibiotics and creams which only angered her skin more. With no results, a different dermatologist was consulted. Again, more prescriptions with no results. She was later turned away by the third dermatologist due to lack of results.
By this time, Reagan was inconsolable. Every second of every day she itched, oozed, bled and cried. She screamed and scratched her body every day and every night... for 11 months. She had to be held 24/7, every second to ensure she couldn't scratch her skin open. Her parents exhausted and irritable, her new big brother fed up and family members misunderstanding created an environment of desperation.
She fell behind meeting her physical milestones as she couldn't bare anything touching her skin. A few months following the injection, she met with Dr. Joseph Malak, the first doctor to listen and take action. He provided holistic alternatives to the steroids and toxic prescriptions. Reagan's infancy limited her options, but Dr. Malak continued to work with her and her family. To this day, Dr. Malak's notes are referenced in Reagan's wellbeing.
She was due for the next round of vaccines, including a booster of Prevnar13. To access public schools, this and two more boosters would be required before she reached 15 months. She didn't qualify for a medical exemption because the shot was not recorded as the cause by hospital ICU. For that and several other reasons, Reagan's family relocated to Naples, Florida. The biggest loss from NY being Dr. Malak.
Once settled in Florida, Reagan's mother started a virtual position with a new employer. During her second week with the firm, a wellness presentation was offered to employees. That's where she met Jake from WellWay. Jake worked with Reagan virtually to understand her symptoms, the cause and offered relevant advice including diet and lifestyle alternatives. That November, 11 months after the injection, Reagan started taking an oral blend of Omega-3 and pro-resolving mediators as recommended by Jake. Within DAYS she began to clear and heal! A topical oil blend by Hempability (mixed with some home remedy favorites) healed her open scratch wounds.

By December, Reagan's skin was clear. She started sleeping more than a few minutes at a time and her miserable screams were replaced by laughter. She even started to crawl!

It was like meeting her for the first time.

Today, Reagan is thriving- laughing, talking, moving and smiling!

I recall one very specific moment of gratitude and thought, "People need to hear about this. They need to know what actually helped her, and what didn't". I knew in that moment if I could help even just one child or family avoid the nightmare my family faced, and offer natural remedies, then Reagan's experience would be a teachable one.

Thank you for allowing Reaganic to partner in your wellness journey.

Best wishes for health and peace,

Rachel (Reagan's Mom)
